"NEET UG 2024 Result: NTA Grants Grace Marks, Sparks Controversy

The NEET UG 2024 results were unexpectedly released early, causing confusion among students. Despite the high cutoff this year, many candidates found themselves in a dilemma. To alleviate concerns, NTA has provided grace marks to several students.

This year, over 13 lakh candidates passed the NEET UG 2024 exam. Among them, 67 candidates secured the NEET All India Rank 1 with a percentile score of 99.997129. However, 10,17,029 students did not qualify. To check the NEET UG 2024 result, candidates can visit NTA’s official website at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET and enter their application number and password.

NTA’s decision to grant grace marks stems from complaints about some candidates receiving insufficient time at certain exam centers. NTA clarified that many students faced time constraints during the NEET UG 2024 exam, prompting them to compensate by awarding grace marks. Consequently, some candidates may have scored 718 or 719 marks.

The move has sparked debate on social media, with some questioning the fairness and transparency of NTA’s actions. Concerns have been raised about the sudden release of results without prior notice, leaving candidates mentally unprepared. Additionally, the controversy surrounding the leaked NEET UG paper has led to demands for a re-examination.

As the matter awaits Supreme Court intervention, many candidates are calling for a re-evaluation of the NEET UG 2024 results.
