BJP suffered heavy losses in these 4 states
Uttar Pradesh: In UP, the largest state in terms of seats, the Samajwadi Party has surprised everyone by taking a lead in 33 seats. BJP has got a lead in 37 seats. Congress has got 7 seats. BJP’s ally RLD is getting 2 seats. Congress’s Kishori Lal Sharma has defeated Smriti Irani in Amethi. Rahul Gandhi has won the Rae Bareli seat. Rahul has also won from Wayanad.
Bihar: NDA has suffered a setback in Bihar as well. In a state with 40 seats, BJP may get 12 seats. Its ally JDU has emerged as the largest party. JDU may get 14 seats. LJP (Ram Vilas) is ahead on 5, RJD on 4 and Congress on 2 seats.
West Bengal: Mamta Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress has taken a lead on 29 seats in the state. BJP had won 18 seats in the last election. This time it may be reduced to 12 seats. Congress is ahead on one seat.
Maharashtra: BJP has suffered a setback in Maharashtra as well. Here Congress is ahead on the maximum 11 seats. BJP, which won the maximum number of seats in 2019, is at the second position by taking a lead on 11 seats.
