New Delhi: India is all set for the penultimate round of the Lok Sabha battle as 58 seats across seven states and union territories go to polls on Saturday (May 25). In some regions, especially in North India, people will have to endure severe heatwaves to cast their votes.
Polling Stations and Facilities
The Election Commission has assured that polling stations will have ample shade, drinking water, ramps, toilets, and other basic facilities to ensure that voting takes place in a comfortable and secure environment.
Assembly Polls in Odisha
Forty-two assembly constituencies in Odisha are also going for polls in the sixth phase. The state records a 7.57% voter turnout till 9am as reported by ANI. Assembly elections are being held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections in the state.
